অধ্যাপক মুজিবুর রহমান জামায়াতে ইসলামী বাংলাদেশের সিনিয়র নায়েবে আমীর এবং রাজশাহী-১ (গোদাগাড়ী-তানোর) আসনের নির্বাচিত সংসদ সদস্য। শিক্ষা, রাজনীতি ও সমাজসেবায় কয়েক দশকের অভিজ্ঞতা নিয়ে তিনি এলাকার মানুষের সেবায় নিয়োজিত।
ইসলামী মূল্যবোধ ও সমাজ উন্নয়নে আজীবন নিবেদিত থেকে, প্রফেসর মুজিব ১৯৭৯ সালে দলে যোগদানের পর থেকে জামায়াতে ইসলামীর বিভিন্ন নেতৃত্ব পদে দায়িত্ব পালন করেছেন।
তিনি ৪০টিরও বেশি বইয়ের প্রথিতযশা লেখক এবং আন্তর্জাতিক অঙ্গনে ইসলামের আদর্শ তুলে ধরতে বিশ্বের ১৫টিরও বেশি দেশ ভ্রমণ করেছেন।
